Frequently Asked Questions About Using AI Generate Art For Your Printing

FREE AI art image generation limitations

AI-generated artwork can be a starting point for your custom wrap graphic. Unfortunately what you sent, we cannot use. Please read and follow these instructions to get an image that we can use as a starting point. For the best results, generate the artwork as a large rectangular image rather than an image already shaped like a snowboard, ski or cornhole board. Those images we cannot use. We don’t need mockup of how it will look on the slopes or the yard, we just need the art, with no hole references, not boot binding hole references and definately not clipped to an actual board shape

To avoid this, do not tell AI it is for a snowboard, cornhole board or ski as it will then make it in the shape. We want a giant rectangle that you will install and then trim using your boards edge.

Why is my AI generated art low resolution?

Most FREE Ai services will not generate a high enough resolution file, and also a not perfect size to print. But we can fix that. Order the “+Basic Layout” option and we can run you low resolution image through our subscription plan. We reference your image and have our paid service upscale it to a printable size. Then our designers can crop, scale and layout your art to fit your exact board dimensions. This process typically gives us a result that is able to be used.

The upgraded fees are for us to fix AI and to make sure everything will print quality. We have to use our credits to create a printable version. Plus there is extra time to get your review and approval. All good things cost money unfortunately and  FREE Ai teases you with a graphic big enough for a 4″ sticker, but we need it to be 8-10x that size in most cases.

What can I do to get to a better AI Image starting point?

We do this A LOT!  And we have picked up a few trick to outsmart AI. To get the best starting point, use these prompts. Feel free to copy and paste , then add your design prompts to your details. Be sure to download the largest file AI will give you. Be sure to specify your dimensions in your prompt, and remember…don’t tell AI what it is for, and if you do, tell it not to clip it the shape of the board – you just want a large rectangle art.

FOR SKI WRAPS:
Use the 1:8 thinnest vertical banner aspect ratio:

“Create a design that is 6 inches x 70 inches at 200dpi, 4k. Do not have any measurement references on the art. Provide the art as a giant rectangle with the art bleeding to the image’s edge. Then enter your prompts specifying what you want in the top, middle and bottom of your art image.”

FOR SNOWBOARD WRAPS:
Use the 1:4 vertical banner aspect ratio:

“Create a design that is 15 inches x 60 inches at 200dpi, 4k. Do not have any measurement references on the art. Provide the art as a giant rectangle with the art bleeding to the image’s edge. Then enter your prompts specifying what you want in the top, middle and bottom of your art image.”

FOR CORNHOLE WRAPS:
Use the 1:2 vertical aspect ratio or whatever is closest:

“Create a design that is 24 inches x 48 inches at 200dpi, 4k. Do not have any measurement references on the art. Provide the art as a giant rectangle with the art bleeding to the image’s edge. This will be used for a cornhole wrap so do not have any important image details or text where a standard cornhole hole is placed. Do not include a visual cornhole hole in the image. Then enter your prompts specifying what you want in the top, middle and bottom of your art image.”

From there we can usually take your art into our subscription upscaler and get a printable quality image.  As always, contact us with any questions.
